What We Do
The Addie & Baylor Foundation is dedicated to providing children access to rich, diverse, and interesting books to help them grow and foster a passion for reading. We believe equitable access and early exposure to literacy can help reduce the achievement gap before entering school. In doing so, we have partnered up with Scholastic, Imagination Library, Norton's Children's Reach Out and Read Program, and First Tee of Louisville.
2023 Recap
First Tee of Louisville
The Addie & Baylor Foundation raises money to provide golf bags for their participants and cover green fees at local courses so kids can have on course exposure.
Scholastic Bookfairs
In order to get more books in the hands of young readers, the Addie & Baylor Foundation has partnered up with Scholastic to fund book fairs for local schools. Each student gets to pick out two free books for themselves.
Imagination Library
The Addie & Baylor Foundation donates books to the Imagination Library book gifting program. The program mails free, high-quality books to children from birth to age five, no matter their family's income.
Reach Out and Read Programs
Norton Children's Reach Out and Read Program allows doctors to read with children during their visit. At the end of their stay, children will take their book home.
